Project Overview

In 2018, a new Travelodge hotel was completed using the Mystique brick on Layerthorpe Road, situated just a 10-minute walk from York's historic city centre. This prime location offers guests easy access to renowned attractions such as the Jorvik Viking Centre, The Shambles, York Dungeon, and a variety of local pubs, cafés, and restaurants.

The hotel features 128 rooms, an on-site bar, and parking facilities, all overlooking the scenic River Foss. To complement the architectural design and the surrounding environment, the project utilized Mystique facing bricks from Traditional Brick & Stone. Known for their subtle light mixed colours and cost-effectiveness, Mystique bricks are a popular choice for large-scale developments across the UK.T

Conclusion

The application of Mystique bricks contributed to the hotel's inviting and contemporary aesthetic, enhancing the overall guest experience. This project exemplifies how thoughtful material selection can harmonize modern construction with historical surroundings.
