Traditional Brick & Stone was proud to collaborate with Eric Wright Construction and Taylor Maxwell on the prestigious redevelopment of Old Trafford Cricket Ground, home of Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC). For this landmark project, we supplied our Fine Handmade Textured Red Blend bricks, chosen for the bricks rich red colour and character.
The Fine Handmade Textured Red Blend Brick was carefully selected to symbolize the iconic red rose of Lancashire, a historic emblem that dates back to the 15th-century Wars of the Roses between Lancashire and Yorkshire—a rivalry that still lives on in cricket today!
The redevelopment included the demolition of the Rose Suite to create additional seating, as well as a major expansion of the on-site hotel, providing 100 new guest rooms to accommodate visitors.
Alongside supplying high-quality facing bricks in the traditional 65mm format, Traditional Brick & Stone also met the challenge of producing a variety of special shaped bricks, including saw tooth specials and umbra specials, tailored to the project’s unique architectural requirements.
We were able to supply special shaped bricks, manfucatured directly at the factory from unique bespoke moulds made specifically for this project. using traditional brick manufacturing methods that date back hundereds of years.
In addition to manufactured special shaped bricks, we worked in partnership with our sister company TBS Cladding Solutions to supply precision-cut brick specials from our purpose-built factory, equipped with state-of-the-art brick cutting machinery. This allowed us to deliver outstanding accuracy, quality, and durability for every bespoke piece used in the redevelopment.
