The colours of the Imperial London Stock are based on the historic London Yellow stock brick, which was a type of brick traditionally made from the clay found in the Thames basin which gives the brick its characteristic yellow colour. These bricks were widely used in London construction from the 17th century and became a feature during the Victorian era.
