Download the Seventh Edition of the TBS Brick CatalogueThe Old Pluckley Blend is a red waterstruck brick that has proven popular in new builds in the UK, especially for apartment complexes and student accomodation such as the stunning Weaver Place in Coventry that we have featured as a brick case study.
Waterstruck bricks are a distinctive type of facing brick characterized by their unique, smooth, and often slightly irregular texture. This texture arises from the traditional manufacturing process where wet clay is pressed into molds lubricated with water to prevent sticking. Excess clay is then "struck" off the top of the mold, giving the brick the "Waterstuck" name.
